'Self Portrait//Pastiche' is an examination of the process to mediate identities and inhabit space as a woman of mixed heritage in contemporary Australia. Being too much of one, to be the other simultaneously. This piece references the Japanese ceramic technique, kintsugi, where broken pieces are repaired with gold to accentuate rather than hide the points and act of repair.
